Don’t Deport the 99% Keep JB in the U.S.

(Bay Are, CA) On Saturday, November 12th, Jose (JB) Librojo, DREAM Act eligible Westmoor High School graduate and San Francisco State University Alumnus, will be deported to the Philippines unless the community can compel Senator Feinstein to act on JB’s behalf.

On Tuesday, November 8th the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON) will hold a press conference at 5:30pm in San Jose to galvanize the community to urge Senator Feinstein to grant JB a stay on his deportation.

“JB finished college, worked full-time, paid taxes, committed no crimes and ICE is still going to deport him. This case highlights the flaw in a broken U.S. immigration system that punishes the undocumented workers who make positive contributions to this country but are treated like criminals,” said Annie Sayo, NAFCON Nor Cal Regional Coordinator.

“The Occupy Movement should teach us to stop blaming hard working undocumented immigrants who are most definitely a part of the 99% that are frequently blamed for the economic hardships created by the 1%.,” continued Sayo.###

Hello my name is (First and Last + Ca Zip Code) and I am calling to urge Senator Feinstein and other officials to grant Jose Librojo a stay on his deportation. JB finished college, worked full-time, paid taxes, committed no crimes and deserves the right to continue to contribute to America . The Obama Administration said it would initiate a case-by-case review of undocumented immigrants who are facing deportation and will allow many who do not have criminal records to stay. JB is a prime candidate for this initiative.
